HISTORY

The decision to establish The Office of Defence Attaché in New Delhi was first taken in 1996 and the Office of Defence Attaché of Greece in New Delhi was formed in 1997 with the First Defence Attaché, Air Force and in 1999 Army. In March 2001 the Office of the Defence Attaché of Greece in New Delhi moved to the newly established Embassy building in Embassy of Greece, EP-32 Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Marg, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi-110021. In 2001, 2003 and 2006 the Defence Attaché from the Navy Wing and Air Force were respectively appointed.

GREECE-INDIA DEFENCE COOPERATION

Mutual visits to the countries by the National Defence Colleges were exchanged, additionally Officers from the Hellenic Armed Forces attended courses at National Defence College, New Delhi.
